I am excited to participate in
this program. One of my goals that
I haven't been able to reach is getting back into an exercise
routine and
STICKING with it. I believe being on a team such as this one will
motivate
me and help me to achieve this goal. I have set many goals to reach
within
these three weeks.
The most important one is to get
my 13 year girl involved with taking care of herself. I call her my
Artsy Fartsy because she loves the arts. She loves to draw and
create things and she is very good at it.
This, of course, is a good
thing, but it is impossible to get her to join
sports or take walks -- things that keep you healthy. I want this
for her.
Not just for her health, but to determine who she will be around
through her
teenage years. To start with, I have joined the YMCA and this
program. My
hope is that I will be able to get her to walk with me or to join
something
she enjoys to do such as volleyball, basketball, dance whatever.
(definitely, a one step at a time thing when it comes to her). Also,
my
boyfriend takes good care of himself and would love it if I was by
his side
to do these things. I think that being in this program will be good
for me
and my family.
