How to "Shape
Up"
1. Teams for
Shape Up Montana consist of 4 - 10 members.
2. Choose a "Team Captain".
3. Choose a Team Name and Category.

Activity Category is spilt into 4 divisions: Beginner,
Intermediate, Experienced and
Professional.

Beginners: Majority of team members have less than 3 years of exercise experience.

Intermediate: Majority of team members have more than 3 years of exercise
experience & routinely workout to stay fit.

Experienced: Majority of members are
physically fit & participate in competitive athletic events: i.e.
road races, cycling, swimming, basketball, triathlons, etc.

Professional: One or more team member
is an instructor of any type of fitness activity.
Members participating in the
Accumulated Activity
category
will turn in their
Personal Mile Log Sheet using the
Conversion Chart
each month to their
Team Captain.
Team miles will be entered online at
www.shapeupmontana.org under
"Team
Reports"
Team
progress will be updated each month at the Shape Up Montana web site
under Team Reports
Team Health fair will be hosted in Billings January 31 - February 1.
Team Captain will be emailed the location and times.

Members
participating in the
Weight Loss Category will
have a team weigh-in (entire team stands on scale together), & health
fair hosted in Billings January 31.
Teams
unable to make the first team weigh-in:
Team Captains must submit under Team Reports
by FEBRUARY 4.

There will be a midway report on March
31. Final team report will be due May 5th .
INDIVIDUAL WEIGHTS WILL NOT BE SHOWN ON
THE WEBSITE.
Shape Up Montana T-shirts, weekly nutrition
and fitness tips, as well as automatic entry into the 2008 Fitness Walk
in the Big Sky State Games held in July are included in the registration
fee.
The cost per member is $15. Employees of Big
Sky State Games sponsors is $10 per participant. A $5 T-shirt mailing
fee per team (not per member) will be charged to all teams. The $5 will
be refunded if the Team Captain picks up the T-shirts.
Deadline for entry is January 29 -
However, we will be accepting entries throughout the 3-month program.
(Sign up early- you don't want to miss out on logging miles or getting
your articles!)
